Murder Accused CEO Seemed Unhappy As Husband Allowed To Meet Son: Police

Police officials have reported that the accused woman, who allegedly killed her minor son in a Goa hotel, appeared unhappy with a recent court order allowing her husband to spend time with their child on Sunday.

Panaji (Goa):

Nidhin Valsan, Superintendent of Police, North Goa, stated on Tuesday that the accused and her husband have been going through divorce proceedings since 2022.

“The Goa court has remanded the mother to six-day police custody. The father identified the boy and revealed that they got married in 2010, with divorce proceedings commencing in 2022. Recently, the court issued an order allowing the father to spend time with the child on Sundays. During our interrogation, the accused woman expressed her discontent with the court order,” SP Valsan told ANI.

Earlier, police announced the arrest of Suchana Seth, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a Bengaluru start-up company, for allegedly murdering her four-year-old son at a hotel in Goa.

The accused woman was apprehended in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district while attempting to flee in a taxi with her son’s body hidden in a bag.

“After checking out, the woman requested the hotel staff to arrange a taxi to Bengaluru. However, when the staff went to clean the room, they discovered red-colored stains that they presumed to be blood. They immediately notified the police,” stated Nidhin Valsan, Superintendent of Police, North Goa.

Further investigation revealed that the woman had claimed to have left her son at a friend’s place in Goa.

The Goa court has ordered the accused to be held in police custody for six days.
