Newsearay News – American Values 2024 Super PAC, led by founder Tony Lyons, has announced its initial focus on seven states with a collective total of 183 electoral college votes and substantial populations. The PAC had initially planned to include Indiana, Colorado, and Nevada in its efforts, but after receiving counsel, it decided to drop them from the list. Nevertheless, American Values 2024 will allocate a significant budget of $10 to $15 million towards its campaign in the remaining states.
In a statement outlining the new strategy, the super PAC expressed confidence in the possibility of a contingent election, where no candidate secures the required 270 electoral college votes. Under this scenario, state congressional delegations cast votes to determine the next president. PAC founder Tony Lyons emphasized that Kennedy, their candidate, has two viable paths to the White House. While the campaign will work closely with attorneys, it will not coordinate with Kennedy’s official campaign to ensure the uniparty fails in any attempts to obstruct the peaceful and populist revolution that Kennedy represents.
Contingent elections have not occurred since 1836, and it is widely believed that a Republican nominee would likely win such an election due to the majority of state delegations being Republican. Kennedy currently garners approximately 13 percent of voter support according to public polling, when compared to candidates such as Biden, Trump, independent candidate Cornel West, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein. In three-way matchups involving only Biden and Trump, Kennedy’s support increases to 15.4 percent.
Lyons remains optimistic about Kennedy’s prospects in the 2024 election based on recent polls, particularly highlighting the higher support among younger voters. He asserts that both major parties exhibit anti-democratic tendencies and prefer to keep candidates like Bobby Kennedy off the ballot, rather than engaging in open debates. Lyons strongly believes that disqualifying candidates should not occur in a democracy.,
RFK Jr. Super PAC, a political action committee founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has unveiled its key priorities regarding ballot access. The organization aims to focus on expanding voter participation and ensuring fair elections across the United States. RFK Jr. Super PAC aims to address restrictive voting laws, advocate for automatic voter registration, and promote the restoration of voting rights for individuals with past felony convictions. By prioritizing these issues, the PAC intends to fight against voter suppression and ensure equal access to the democratic process for all Americans.
