Have you considered challenging PM Modi in a contest? BJP leader challenges Mamata Banerjee

In a bold challenge, BJP leader Angamitra Paul has called on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to contest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. Paul questioned why Banerjee doesn’t choose to run from Varanasi, directly opposing the Prime Minister. This statement came as Banerjee proposed Mallikarjun Kharge as the Opposition prime ministerial candidate, a move reportedly supported by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. However, a Janata Dal (United) MLA hinted at a divide over the proposal, insisting that Nitish Kumar should be named as the Opposition PM candidate if the alliance defeats the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Despite the speculation and murmurs of a rift, INDIA bloc leaders have denied any unhappiness from the Bihar Chief Minister and Kharge played down suggestions of him emerging as a prime ministerial candidate. Rahul Gandhi has reportedly reached out to Nitish Kumar to discuss the controversy sparked by the meeting, although they have been unable to interact due to conflicting schedules.,

In a recent political development, a BJP leader has openly challenged Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, to contest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming elections. The challenge comes amidst growing political tensions between the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. The BJP leader’s call to Mamata Banerjee to contest against PM Modi is seen as an attempt to gauge her popularity and test her political mettle. This challenge has sparked interest and speculation in the political circles, as it could potentially shape the dynamics of the upcoming elections in West Bengal.
