Ishan Kishan withdraws from South Africa Test series due to personal reason, BCCI announces replacement

Ishan Kishan won’t play in the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa due to personal reasons. The Board of Control for Cricket in India said that the southpaw has been released.

“Ishan Kishan has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India to be released from the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa citing personal reasons. The wicket-keeper batter has been withdrawn from the team,” the Board said in a statement.

KS Bharat has been named as Ishan’s replacement and will soon join the squad.
