The New York Giants have made a significant move ahead of their Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Due to an unfortunate injury that forced the team to place their third kicker of the season on the injured reserve list, the Giants have signed veteran kicker Mason Crosby.

Mason Crosby, the former Packers kicker, has found himself with a new team once again. After spending much of the 2023 season unsigned, Crosby joined the Rams’ practice squad on December 6. However, his time with the Rams was short-lived as he was released just six days later. Now, Crosby has landed with the New York Giants. This move comes after Giants kicker Cade York injured his quad in practice, leaving the team in need of a replacement. Crosby, who has had a successful career as one of the most accomplished kickers in NFL history, will have the opportunity to showcase his skills in the NFC East showdown on Christmas. While currently on the Giants’ practice squad, Crosby can be promoted to the active roster for the rest of the season. The Giants also have the option to permanently elevate him, but that would require clearing a roster spot.,
