The Prime Minister’s Office stated that achieving self-reliance in energy requirements has been a significant focus for PM Modi. India Energy Week 2024, scheduled from February 6 to 9, aims to bring together the entire energy value chain and serve as a catalyst for India’s energy transition goals. The event will feature a roundtable with global oil and gas CEOs and experts.

India Energy Week 2024 will also prioritize encouraging and integrating startups into the energy value chain. The event is expected to witness participation from 17 energy ministers from different countries, along with over 35,000 attendees and more than 900 exhibitors. Country pavilions from Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, the UK, and the US will be featured, and a special Make in India pavilion will showcase innovative solutions led by Indian MSMEs in the energy sector.

In addition to the energy-focused activities, PM Modi will also dedicate the newly built NIT Goa campus, which includes various facilities such as hostels, health centers, and sports grounds. The new campus of the National Institute of Watersports will also be inaugurated, offering tailor-made courses for the development of watersports and water rescue activities.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility in South Goa, featuring a 500 KW solar power plant. He will lay the foundation stone for the Passenger Ropeway connecting Panaji and Reis Magos in North Goa, as well as a 100 MLD water treatment plant in South Goa.

During the event, PM Modi will distribute appointment orders to 1,930 new government recruits and hand over sanction letters to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes. India Energy Week 2024 aims to showcase India’s commitment to energy self-reliance and foster collaborations for sustainable energy solutions.
